Angélica Vale will celebrate today the baptism of her daughter Angeliquita

After giving birth to her first daughter Angélica Masiel on June 6^th 2012, Mexican actress and comedian Angélica Vale has been preparing her baptism, which will take place today in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.

April 20, the day of her daughter’s baptism, is a special day for Vale for another reason. This day was also the birthday of her father, the compositor Raúl Vale, who passed away in 2003, at the age of 59, due to pulmonary cancer.

The godfather of Angeliquita will be non-other than Jaime Camil, Angélica’s longtime friend and costar in ‘La Fea Más Bella’. Vale talked about how the date of this special event was chosen: “It’s funny because Jaime and I were talking about in and mentioning dates, but without mentioning the month. Then we decided to do it on the 20^th. When I was going to write it down, I suddenly realized it was April 20. It was a nice feeling, I even had goose bumps.”
