Maite Perroni and Daniel Arenas to play the leading couple of “La Gata”?

One of the most anticipated productions in Mexico next year is the remake of "María la del Barrio", by producer Nathalie Lartilleux. It was previously revealed that Maite Perroni was one of the actresses up for the leading role in this novela, originally played by iconic actress Thalía.

It seems that Perroni will indeed by playing the role, alongside actor Daniel Arenas, who will probably be taking the role that was originally played by Fernando Colunga.

Meanwhile, César Évora, Jesús Ochoa and Laura Zapata are among the actors that were confirmed to act in this novela.

Maite reportedly was also offered to participate in the upcoming production of Pedro Damián and Juan Osorio, but finally decided to take on the offer of Lartilleux, with whom she worked in the successful ‘Cuidado con el ángel’ back in 2009.
