One of the most anticipated productions in Mexico next year
is the remake of "María la del Barrio", by producer Nathalie
Lartilleux. It was previously revealed that Maite Perroni was one of the
actresses up for the leading role in this novela, originally played by iconic
actress Thalía.
It seems that Perroni will indeed by playing the role,
alongside actor Daniel Arenas, who will probably be taking the role that was
originally played by Fernando Colunga.
Meanwhile, César Évora, Jesús Ochoa and Laura Zapata are
among the actors that were confirmed to act in this novela.
Maite reportedly was also offered to participate in the
upcoming production of Pedro Damián and Juan Osorio, but finally decided to
take on the offer of Lartilleux, with whom she worked in the successful ‘Cuidado
con el ángel’ back in 2009.
The gorgeous Colombian actress Paola Rey, well remembered
for her leading roles in such novelas as ‘Pobres Rico’ and ‘Pasión de gavilanes’,
recently gave birth to her firstborn, a cute little baby boy whom she and
husband, actor Juan Carlos Vargas, named Oliver. The baby was born four months
ago, after three years of marriage. The couple met on the set of the Colombian remake
of ‘Montecristo’.
Paola presented her son exclusively via the Colombian ALÓ
magazine, evidencing that she’s currently living her sweetest moment. She also
spoke about how she spent her pregnancy and about giving birth: “It was
incredible giving birth, it was a magical moment. This was a magical time in my
life. I never stopped exercising and eating healthily. It was a great
pregnancy. I kept doing Pilates until the day before I gave birth.”

Mexican producer Mapat is preparing the remake of the
successful 2001 novela 'El Manantial', originally starred by Adela Noriega and
Mauricio Islas and produced by Carla Estrada.
It was revealed that beautiful actress Ana Brenda Contreras
might play the leading role in this upcoming production, originally played by
Noriega.
Contreras’ last novela was 'Corazón indomable', where she
acted alongside Daniel Arenas, and which was one of the most successful Mexican
novelas of the year.
Meanwhile, it was announced that she will postpone the
religious wedding with husband Alejandro Amaya, with whom she was also supposed
to temporarily live in Spain. The surprising news led to rumors about a
possible infidelity of Alejandro, but these rumors were denied.
Argentine actress Calu Rivero is ready for summer in the
southern hemisphere. The 26 year old actress, model and DJ was chosen as the
main model for a swimwear campaign and showed off her amazing bikini body in a
variety of poses.
Rivero, considered one of the sexiest women of Argentina,
currently acts in the primetime novela ‘Mis amigos de siempre’, which premiered
this week on El Trece channel. She was also recently involved in a scandal with
one of her costars Nicolás Cabré, who abruptly ended the relationship with
actress Eugenia Suárez after both became parents this past July. It was rumored
that Cabré might have been involved with Calu Rivero. All sides denied the
information. Calu’s last boyfriend was actor el Chino Darín.
It was revealed that Venezuelan actress Gaby Espino recently
renewed her exclusive contract with Telemundo. After successful productions
like ‘Más Sabe el Diablo’ and ‘Santa Diabla’, Espino signed a contract to film
three more novelas with the network. It seems that fans can expect more
exciting productions of this beautiful actress.
Meanwhile, she was also chosen as the woman with the best
body of 2013, according to a poll realized by Wonder Wall Latino. Espino was
followed by Aylín Mujica and Arecely Arámbula, who came in second and third,
respectively.
