After their fairytale wedding in Mérida on April 20, which was attended by more than 800 high profile guests, actress Ludwika Paleta and her new husband finally left for their honeymoon.  Yesterday the pretty actress posted a photo of her and Salinas from inside the airplane and wrote: “We have 17 flight hours ahead. We send you kisses.”

April 20 was definitely a busy day for Mexican telenovela stars. In addition to other celebrations that were held that day, it was also the big day for Ludwika Paleta and Emiliano Salinas, who tied the knot in Tekit del Regil ranch in Mérida, Yucatán.

Ludwika Paleta (Abismo de pasion, Los Exitosos Perez) and fiancée Emiliano Salinas (an economist and the son of Mexican ex-president Carlos Salinas) are going to tie the knot today in a ranch in Mérida, Yucatán. The exact location of the wedding is still unknown, as the couple wishes for it to remain a secret in order to have a more private ceremony. More than a thousand guests have been invited to this anticipated wedding, and among the guests that are expected to attend are Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto and wife Angélica Rivera and famous singer Paulina Rubio. 

Ludwika shared her happiness via her twitter account: “Thanks for your interest regarding my upcoming wedding. People asked me whether I’m nervous. Not at all!!! I’m very happy and thrilled.”

Her sister, actress Dominika Paleta (Triunfo del Amor), revealed that the family is ready and very excited. She said about her sister’s wedding dress: “I accompanied her to choose her dress, and it’s very beautiful. I don’t know who’s the designer, she chose it from a catalogue and then we went to see it. She bought it in a store and it’s gorgeous.” About her own dress, Dominika said that she will wear a green-emerald dress.
