After many rumors and auditions, it’s finally confirmed that
Esmeralda Pimentel will be joining Erick Elías as the female protagonist of the
upcoming Televisa production ‘Pasión de amor’. Pimentel will play Lucía, and Elías
Marcelo.
It will be the first leading role for the beautiful actress,
who had important roles in such novelas as ‘Cachito de cielo’ and ‘Abismo de
pasión’. Such actresses as Danna Garcia and África Zavala also attended the
auditions, but it was Pimentel who eventually got the role.
She was originally supposed to act alongside José Ron in the
novela ‘Madre sustituta’, but the whole production was cancelled. She later
auditioned for another upcoming novela, ‘La Malquerida’, but finally got her protagonic
role in ‘Pasión de amor’.
The novela will be produced by Roberto Gómez Fernández (Cachito
de cielo, Alma de hierro), written by Cuauhtémoc Blanco and María del Carmen
Peña and directed by Francisco Franco. Unlike many others, it will be an
original story.
Meanwhile, Patricia Reyes Espíndola, Claudia Ramírez, Luis
Couturier, Helena Rojo, Eugenia Cauduro and René Strickler were also confirmed
to be acting in this novela.
Filming will kick off in the next few weeks, and it will
premiere in the first trimester of 2014.
Mexican actor Erick Elías was recently confirmed as the
protagonist of the upcoming Televisa novela by producer Roberto Gómez Fernández,
"Pasión de amor". Elías’ last novela was last year’s "Porque el
amor manda", where he played the villain.
It was also reported that Danna García may become the
leading actress of this telenovela, but her participation is still uncertain.
Gómez Fernández revealed that unlike many other novelas,
this will be an original story written by Cuauhtémoc Blanco. Francisco Franco and
Juan Pablo Blanco will direct.
Currently the auditions to determine the cast
continue, and the cast will soon be revealed.
Erick Elias and his wife Karla Guindi welcomed to the world
their second daughter, Olivia, who was born on August 23rd at 6:10 in the
morning. The baby girl was born via C-section and it was told that both the mom
and the baby are in perfect health.
Just a week ago, Erick had posted on Twitter: "It´s nerve
wracking to perform at the theater knowing that at any moment my daughter might
be born".
A few days ago on the red carpet of the premiere of the film
'No sé si cortarme las venas o dejármelas largas', Erick said he was very
nervous and anxious to meet his new baby.
As Karla reached the ninth month of her pregnancy, Erick
wrote: “Month 9!Anytime now!Start the
countdown!Ready for a new family member.”
He wrote today: "Happy and thrilled because of the birth of my second daughter Olivia! Thanks to everybody. Everything went well."
The couple’s first daughter, Penélope, was born in October
2011.

expecting their second daughter and even shared an ultrasound image of the baby
