The annual People en Espanol "50 Most Beautiful"
issue, on sale now, features the hottest and freshest faces in Hispanic
entertainment. Spanning the most popular names in music, TV, film and
telenovelas, this year's Bellos were showcased in fun and daring shoots
inspired in various circus, fair, masquerade and carnival settings. The cover
features 10 new and returning stars including: Hours actress Genesis Rodriguez,
Mexican boxer Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, telenovela star Maite Perroni, and El Rey
Network's From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series actress Eiza Gonzalez, among others.
Actress Genesis Rodriguez made history in the issue by being
featured on two People en Espanol covers in the same month. Rodriguez shares the Bellos cover with nine
of her peers and models a sexy swimsuit in the magazine's first-ever,
English-language insert CHICA: Trends for the New Latina.
People en Espanol's "50 Most Beautiful" 2014 Gala
in NYC will be covered live on the magazine’s website on Monday, May 12th at
9:30 p.m.
This week began the filming of the novela 'Lo que la vida me
robó', starring Angelique Boyer, Sebastián Rulli and Luis Roberto Guzman.
'Lo que la vida me robó' is a story based on the plot of the
historical telenovela 'Bodas de odio', but this time there will be a twist to
the plot and it will be told as a modern story. This became a challenge for
Angelli Nesma and her team of writers, as they expect to catch the public’s
attention with a new way of telling the memorable story.
In addition to the leading actors, 'Lo que la vida me robó'
will feature performances by actors like Grettell Valdez, Margarita Magaña,
Osvaldo Benavides, Isabella Camil and Alexis Ayala, among others.
The initial ‘claquetazo’ occurred in the beautiful state of
Campeche, and most of the actors updated their Twitter account, posting updated
and photos from the set.
This new and exciting novela will begin airing on November
4, replacing ‘La Tempestad’.
Recently an interesting telenovela-related poll was
conducted by the cabinet of strategic communication in Mexico in order to find
out more about the viewing habits of the Mexicans. According to the poll’s
results, about 45% of the viewers normally watch one telenovela every day. More
than 40% watch two or three novelas every day, and about 7% watch five novelas.
Regarding their preferred television company, 75% of the
interviewees declared that they watch the telenovelas of Televisa, while 15%
prefer the novelas of TV Azteca. 91% said that they prefer Mexican telenovelas
over foreign ones.
When asked about the ‘queen’ of the telenovelas, Lucero was
the actress with most, and was followed by Thalía, Victoria Ruffo, Edith
González, Verónica Castro, Angélica María, Adela Noriega, Angélica Aragón and Angélica
Rivera.
‘Cuna de lobos’ was chosen as the most memorable
telenovelas, followed by ‘El vuelo del águila’, ‘Amor real’, ‘Los ricos también
lloran’ and ‘Corazón Salvaje’. Other memorable novelas were ‘Mirada de Mujer’ ‘Amor
en Custodia’, ‘Amores Verdaderos’, ‘Teresa’, ‘Rosa Salvaje’, ‘Corona de
Lágrimas’, ‘María Mercedes’ and ‘Simplemente María’.
Regarding the current novelas, ‘Amores Verdaderos’ was
chosen as the novela that most Mexicans currently prefer, followed by ‘Porque
el amor manda’, ‘Corazón Indomable’, ‘La Mujer del Vendaval’ and ‘Qué bonito
amor’.
William Levy was selected as the leading man most loved by
the female audiences. He was followed by Sebastián Rulli, Eduardo Yáñez,
Fernando Colunga and David Zepeda. The leading woman that the male audience
prefers is Lucero, followed by Angelique Boyer.
Angelique Boyer continues to enjoy her time off, and this
time she was seen hanging out with her friend, actress Fernanda Castillo. Both actresses
were smiling and were quite talkative while having lunch in a restaurant in
Mexico City.
Angelique Boyer was seen together with her boyfriend,
telenovela producer José Alberto 'El Güero' Castro, in the gala event of Moda
Nextel, which took place last Friday in the magnificent Vizcaínas school. The beautiful
actress wore a grey gown that accentuated her spectacular figure.
