Lucero and Jaime Camil expected to receive special awards at the TVyNovelas award ceremony

When nominations for the 2013 TVyNovelas awards came out, many fans were shocked that neither Lucero nor Jaime Camil, who both acted in ‘Por Ella Soy Eva’, one of the most successful telenovelas of 2012, were nominated as leading actors. But no worry, because numerous fans used their social network power to protest against the decision to not nominate both of them.

Feeling the fan pressure, the event organizers decided to include both Lucero and Jaime Camil in the nomination list as best actress and actor, respectively. In addition, it was decided to hand them both a special award during the award ceremony. Unfortunately, due to conflicting schedules, Camil won’t be able to attend the event, which is expected to take place on April 28^thin Acapulco.

Nevertheless, the award committee has announced that nominees who won’t attend the ceremony won’t receive any awards, a rule that Jaime Camil and Lucero are also subjected to. It seems like we can expect a lot of surprises from this award ceremony.
