Brazilian actress Isis Valverde suffered a car accident
during the early morning of this Friday, January 31. It took place close to the
actress’ house, in Itanhangá. Valverde’s cousin Mayara was the driver, while
Isis was sleeping in the car. They were accompanied by the producer Gabriel
Maciel. When Mayara lost control over the vehicle, she hit an embankment and
the car overturned. Photos of the wrecked car were released.
Maciel, who was in the car during the accident, said: “It
was very fast. We were shocked. She was mildly injured near the neck because of
the seat belt”. He also said that after the accident, Isis went home in a cab,
and that he later took her to the hospital. He added that Isis didn’t complain
about the pain, and didn’t even want to go to the hospital.
She reportedly suffered a fracture in her C1 vertebra and is
currently resting in the hospital. She’ll also have to use a cervical collar
during ten days.
Her last appearance on TV was in the successful series
‘Amores roubados’. Meanwhile, she might become the protagonist of the future
6pm novela of Globo, ‘Saber viver’.

Will ‘Avenida Brasil’ premiere on TV Azteca instead of ‘Las Bravo’?
3:38 PMUnknown
Although filming for the upcoming TV Azteca production ‘Las
Bravo’ will continue as planned, it was recently informed that the company is
planning to make some significant schedule changes which will affect the
novelas that are planned to be aired on the network.
Due to such changes, ‘Las Bravo’ will supposedly not
premiere as planned and will be replaced by the extremely successful Brazilian novela
‘Avenida Brasil’. Although ‘Las Bravo’, starring Edith González and Mauricio
Islas, will still be filmed as planned, it is still unknown when it will
actually premiere.
‘Avenida Brasil’ will probably air in the 9:30pm timeslot,
dubbed in Spanish. This revenge-focused novela became the most successful and
most exported Brazilian novela of all times.
Only one of the TV Azteca produced novelas has already
granted its timeslot, and it’s ‘Por siempre tuya… Acapulco’, starring Melissa
Barrera and Daniel Elbittar. It has already began filming and will air on
8:30pm.

As was previously mentioned, producer Juan Osorio is
planning to produce a remake of the Spanish series ‘Ana y los siete’. This remake
was recently given the provisory name ‘Mi corazón es tuyo’.
While Osorio is taking care of the auditions and casting for
this production, one name is already confirmed. Actor Adrián Uribe, who previously
participated in ‘Alma de Hierro’, is confirmed as one of the main actors of the
novela. He will play George, the boyfriend of the female protagonist until she
meets the father of the seven children and falls in love with him. Both will
fight for her love.
Arath de la Torre was rumored to play the male leading role,
but he stated that he won’t be participating in this novela. On the other hand,
it was said that Blanca Soto and Marlene Favela were mentioned as candidates
for the leading female role.
This novela will premiere in June.

After many rumors and auditions, it’s finally confirmed that
Esmeralda Pimentel will be joining Erick Elías as the female protagonist of the
upcoming Televisa production ‘Pasión de amor’. Pimentel will play Lucía, and Elías
Marcelo.
It will be the first leading role for the beautiful actress,
who had important roles in such novelas as ‘Cachito de cielo’ and ‘Abismo de
pasión’. Such actresses as Danna Garcia and África Zavala also attended the
auditions, but it was Pimentel who eventually got the role.
She was originally supposed to act alongside José Ron in the
novela ‘Madre sustituta’, but the whole production was cancelled. She later
auditioned for another upcoming novela, ‘La Malquerida’, but finally got her protagonic
role in ‘Pasión de amor’.
The novela will be produced by Roberto Gómez Fernández (Cachito
de cielo, Alma de hierro), written by Cuauhtémoc Blanco and María del Carmen
Peña and directed by Francisco Franco. Unlike many others, it will be an
original story.
Meanwhile, Patricia Reyes Espíndola, Claudia Ramírez, Luis
Couturier, Helena Rojo, Eugenia Cauduro and René Strickler were also confirmed
to be acting in this novela.
Filming will kick off in the next few weeks, and it will
premiere in the first trimester of 2014.
