Casting news: Osvaldo Laport, Gonzalo Heredia and Juana Viale, among the big names confirmed for "Mis amigos de siempre"

It was revealed that Adrián Suar’s company Pol-Ka is in the finishing stages of finalizing the cast of the company’s newest series, which is expected to replace “Solamente Vos”, starred by Suar and Natalia Oreiro. Although some confirmations are still pending, it was confirmed that the ‘adult’ protagonists of the series will be Osvaldo Laport, Soledad Sylveira and Claribel Medina.

There will also be a trio of younger female protagonists, played by Juana Viale, Calu Rivero and Agustina Cherri and a trio of younger male protagonists, played by Nicolás Cabré, Gonzalo Heredia and Nicolás Vázquez.

Other confirmed cast members are Victorio Ddalessandro, Violeta Urtizberea and Federico Amador, who will once again play the villain.

The casting seems very surprising and interesting, due to the fact that Laport and Sylveira were the stars of “Amor en Custodia”, the original version of “Amores Verdaderos”. Meanwhile, Heredia and Viale were the stars of the big hit “Malparida” in 2010. Both couples were popular with the viewers because of their sizzling chemistry. 

Big news for Gabriel Soto and Geraldine Bazán, as they announce pregnancy and wedding plans

After weeks of speculation, Mexican actors Gabriel Soto and Geraldine Bazán finally announced the big news: they are pregnant with their second child and planning a wedding. The happy couple announced the news that they are expecting their second child, who will join elder sister Elissa Marie, on Twitter: "We are extremely happy to share with each and every one of you the immense joy of expecting our second child, the first sibling of Elissa, which fills us with emotion.”

In addition to announcing their upcoming parenthood, the couple is also planning to formalize their relationship and after four years together they are ready to take the next step and tie the knot. They wrote: "Finishing with the speculations, we want to make clear that we are and have been a couple, a family, and therefore a marriage that will be formalized later.”

Soto and Bazán have been a couple for four years, but decided to take some time in May 2012, when they went through a crisis in their relationship. But the love they have for one another joined them together once again. It has been said that Geraldine was a great support for Soto, who suffered a health problem, as he had to undergo an emergency surgery for a stomach ulcer. 

Luisana Lopilato and Michael Bublé welcome their first son, Noah

Actress Luisana Lopilato (26) and husband Michael Bublé (37) finally welcomed their first son to the world on August 27th. Noah Bublé was born in Vancouver, Canada at 2:26 am.

The happy coupled announced the news via their Twitter and Instagram accounts. Bublé wrote: "Overjoyed and filled with gratitude at the arrival of our son Noah Buble. Born this morning, August 27th at 2.26 am in Vancouver, Canada."

Meanwhile, Luisana wrote: “Filled with light at the arrival of Noah Bublé at 2:26 am, on August 27th. Blessed and happy with…”, and shared the first photo of her precious newborn, lying on his mother’s lap, shortly after he arrived to the world. Luisana also updated her fans today, and thanked them for all their messages of support and congratulations.

The couple met in Argentina in 2009 during the South American concert tour of Bublé, and tied the knot in 2011, with several wedding ceremonies held in different corners of the planet. Since they divided their time mainly between Argentina, Canada and the U.S. 

Rochi Igarzábal and Gabriel Corrado to play a couple in 'Taxi'

Rocío Igarzábal (24) is coming back to the small screen, and will this time face the challenge of being the protagonist of the telenovela ‘Taxi’, a story about an impossible love. Her co-starts in this Telefe production will be Nicolás Riera and Gabriel Corrado (52), who will also be one of the show’s producers alongside Endemol.

Rocío and Nicolás, who are who are also dating in real life, became one of the favorite couples of the public after acting together in ‘Casi Angeles’ and playing a couple in the popular series ‘Dulce Amor’. However, they will not be playing a couple in ‘Taxi’, and Rochi’s partner will be none other than Gabriel Corrado, while Nicolás will play his son.

Corrado and Riera will play two taxi drivers. Corrado’s character lost his wife fifteen years ago, but when he meets Rocío’s character, he is shocked by her resemblance with his deceased wife.  Mesmerized by her, he decides to do anything he can to keep seeing her. Meanwhile, Rocío’s will play a photographer who dedicated herself to her art.

Filming for the telenovela will begin in late September, and it is expected to start airing during October in the evening hours on Telefe. 70 episodes were initially planned, and the continuation of the series depends on its success with the viewers.

There is perhaps no greater sin than disowning one’s mother. And that is exactly

what Griselda’s ambitious middle son does. He is the only one of Griselda’s children

who got to the university. He is studying Medicine and has gotten engaged to Teresa

Cristina’s daughter. But Antonio is ashamed of his social class, his family and his

mother’s job. And he tries at all costs to appear to be a rich young man, just like those he interacts with at school. He will pay dearly for this.

Kimberly Dos Ramos - Patricia Ibarra Palmer

Patricia, Reinaldo and Teresa Cristina’s daughter, inherited her mother’s beauty and

her father’s personality. She has a difficult relationship with her mother. Patricia

is an interesting, sensitive woman, and even though she was brought up in the

lap of luxury, she hates seeing the way her mother mistreats people with humble

beginnings. She will identify with Griselda in a special way. Patricia is a psychology

student and she may end up being disappointed by her boyfriend, Antonio, 
the young man she adores.

Roberto Manrique - Kike Salinas Carrasco

He is Griselda’s oldest son, and the total opposite of his brother Antonio. He is sincere,

attentive to his mother and always willing to help her. He also takes care of his small

son, Kikito, after his wife Barbara leaves him for a wrestler. In spite of his difficulties,

Kike continues to have an upbeat attitude. His world is shaken when Barbara returns because she is interested in Griselda’s fortune.

Ricardo Chávez - Gabriel Rodríguez

He has always been in love with Griselda, and is the only person who does not make

fun of or criticize her work. He is the manager of Taco Express. Hard-working and

generous, he agreed to hire Griselda’s son Kike, in spite of knowing that the young

man had no experience. Griselda ignores his proposals, even though she is sincerely grateful to him and feels true affection for him.

Pablo Azar - Rafael Álamo

He is Antonio’s childhood friend, but with the passing of time, they have gone their

separate ways. Unlike Griselda’s son, from a very young age, Rafael had to struggle in

order to make a life for himself. Although he has a pleasant personality, he is a schemer

and is involved in some shady business deals. His life will change drastically when

he discovers that he has fallen in love with Amalia, his long-time friend’s little sister. 
Because of this love, he will do his best to change his ways and walk the right path.

Ana Carolina Grajales – Amalia Salinas Carrasco

Griselda’s youngest daughter, she is the personification of tenderness. She is a welladjusted

young woman, who hasn’t caused any problems for her mother, whom she

admires more than anyone else. After graduating from high school, she devoted herself

to selling organic creams. She will fall in love with Rafael, a young man going down 
the wrong path.

Paulo Quevedo - Juan Pablo Palmer 

Although he is a true chauvinist, Teresa Cristina’s brother is in love with his wife,

Esther, who is also his partner at the fashion shop. Things are going very well with

his wife, until she has the idea of conceiving a child by the insemination of one of

her eggs with a donor’s sperm. At this point, things spin out of control when Juan Pablo becomes disturbed by the idea of his wife carrying a child that is not truly his.

Sandra Destenave - Esther Salas de Palmer 

After 18 years of marriage, this fashion designer has never given up on the idea of

being a mother. This is something that she increasingly longs for. But one thing she

had not bargained for was the resistance of her husband Juan Pablo of having a child.

In spite of this, Esther goes forward with her plan; in the end, after a long drawn

out process, she gives birth to a daughter and starts a relationship with Gabriel.

for Teresa Cristina, whom he always speaks highly of, using flattering nicknames for

faithful defendant, assistant, and even stylist— is the only person that Teresa Cristina really trusts. Vibrant colors and tight pants are his trademark.

Daniela Navarro - Bárbara

Ambition has not been the best advisor to Kike’s former wife. At one point,

moved by her thirst for money, she abandoned her husband and child to go

overseas with a professional wrestler. No one heard any more from her. But now

that Griselda, her former mother-in-law, has won the lottery, Barbara is back.

And she will have to come face to face with the son she left behind

"La Patrona" is the big winner of the 2013 "Premios Tu Mundo" awards

Telemundo’s live broadcast of the second annual “Premios Tu Mundo” (Your World Awards) from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, celebrated what is hot in novelas, music, fashion, movies and sports.  The star-studded event, hosted by telenovela stars Gaby Espino and Aaron Diaz, featured high energy performances and appearances by prominent artists.  Top honors went to the novela La Patrona, which was awarded Novela of the Year, Favorite Protagonist – Female: Aracely Arámbula, Best Villain – Female: Christian Bach, Best Supporting Actor: Gonzalo García Vivanco, The Perfect Couple: Aracely Arámbula and Jorge Luis Pila, Legendary Actress: Christian Bach and Best Bad Luck Moment.  Through fan voting and a selection process that combined the power of television, web, mobile and social media platforms, Telemundo viewers made their choice and selected the winners from 20 competing categories.  

Premios Tu Mundo winners also included “El Rostro de la Venganza” with two awards; while “Pasión Prohibida” and “El Señor de los Cielos” were honored with one award each.  Winners in music categories included: “Dámaso” by Gerardo Ortiz for The Party Starting Song; “Incondicional” by Prince Royce won Most Popular Song of the Year, and “Invencible” by Alerta Zero received the mun2 presents Best Music Video. In film, Michelle Rodríguez received the Fandango Cine’s Latino Performance of the Year award. Best Athlete of the Year went to Leo Messi, and the I’m Sexy and I Know It award went to Gaby Espino.  TV personalities that were honored included Maria Celeste Arraras for Best Social Fan Club and Ana Maria Polo’s “Caso Cerrado” with Best Reality Moment.

During the ceremony, special awards were also presented to actress, producer and activist Eva Longoria,  music mogul Daddy Yankee, renowned actor Rafael Amaya, and Gaby Espino.   The “ALMA de Tu Mundo” (ALMA “Soul” of Your World) award, presented jointly by Telemundo and the National Council of la Raza, honors artists who use their fame and talent to help the neediest in society, and create awareness of various philanthropic causes.  In recognition of her work to help ensure a better future for Hispanic families through civic engagement, voting, education and entrepreneurship, the first ever “ALMA de Tu Mundo” award was presented to actress Eva Longoria.  The “Poder Musical” (Musical Powerhouse) award, reserved only for artists who with courage, talent and innovative power revolutionize the world of music, was conferred to Daddy Yankee.   For his memorable role in “El Señor de los Cielos”, the celebrated production that broke barriers and ratings records in Spanish language television, leading actor Rafael Amaya is the recipient of the “El Mero Mero” (Top Notch) award; while actress Gaby Espino was honored with the “Favorito de la Noche” (Favorite of the Night) award, based on real-time tweets by followers of @PremiosTuMundo.

The show delivered electrifying music performances by Daddy Yankee and Natalia Jimenez, who performed a duet, Tito “El Bambino,” Victor Manuelle, Cristian Castro, Voz De Mando, Elvis Crespo, La Voz Kids winner Paola Guanche, and the world famous STOMP. Viewers also enjoyed a novela theme medley performed by Carlos Ponce and Aaron Diaz who interpreted the theme song of “Santa Diabla,” (10PM/9C); Gabriel Coronel sang a theme song of “Marido en Alquiler” (9PM/8C) and Aracely Arambula dazzled the audience with the theme song of “La Patrona.”

Premios Tu Mundo also featured the participation of top celebrities, including: Ana Layevska, Aylin Mujica, Carmen Villalobos, David Chocarro, Diego Soldano, Janet Murguia, Juan Soler, Mala Suerte, Maritza Rodriguez, Pedro Capo, Penelope Menchaca, Rafael Amaya, Rashel Díaz, Roberto Tapia, Sonya Smith, and Ximena Duque. The awards show was preceded by “Alfombra de Premios Tu Mundo,” an arrivals pre-show hosted by Alessandra Villegas, co-host of Telemundo’s “Un Nuevo Día” and Jorge Bernal of Telemundo’s “Al Rojo Vivo” and “La Voz Kids,” with mun2 talent Guad Venegas, guest fashion expert Kika Rocha, fashionista Christian Ramirez and sports guru Karim Mendiburu.

Natalia Oreiro reveals she lost 30 kilos

In a recent interview, Natalia Oreiro, the protagonist of the hit series "Solamente Vos", revealed what she did to recover her model-like figure after giving birth to her son Merlin, who is 17 months old. "I decided to cut out flour and sweet", said the Uruguayan, who claims to have never gone under the knife.

"During my pregnancy I gained almost 30 kilos. I exaggerated, didn’t watch out and ate too much," declared Oreiro to ‘Caras’ magazine.

The Uruguayan actress revealed what she did to recover her perfect body after the birth of her son. "Two months after giving birth I had to go to Cannes, so I stopped eating foods with flour and sweets for a month, and lost weight," said the star of "Solamente Vos".

Oreiro also declared that she avoided any kind of plastic surgeries: “I don’t operate my boobs because I’m still breastfeeding Merlin. I only had surgery for appendicitis and a cesarean section. I didn’t go under the knife for cosmetic purposes.”

William Levy denies romance rumors with Ximena Navarrete

The Cuban actor William Levy assured that he doesn’t care about the rumors of a possible romance between him and his ​​co-star in ‘La Tempestad’, Ximena Navarrete.

Levy said his relationship with his family is very close despite all the gossip, and that his free time is dedicated entirely to his wife and children, as he enjoys his role as a husband and father. In addition, he declared that he identifies with his character, Captain Damian Fabre, as he is also a loving and caring father.

William took the opportunity to point out that although things are going well in his marriage, he won’t talk in depth about the issue in order to avoid potential speculations about separations and other topics. He added that his wife Elizabeth Gutierrez knows the media and what goes around: "She is a great woman, wife and mother. She has it all."

When he finishes filming for ‘La Tempestad’, Levy plans to return to the U.S. to further advance his film career. He also assured that he has several work proposals in the states.  

Erick Elías becomes a dad for the second time

Erick Elias and his wife Karla Guindi welcomed to the world their second daughter, Olivia, who was born on August 23rd at 6:10 in the morning. The baby girl was born via C-section and it was told that both the mom and the baby are in perfect health.

Just a week ago, Erick had posted on Twitter: "It´s nerve wracking to perform at the theater knowing that at any moment my daughter might be born".

A few days ago on the red carpet of the premiere of the film 'No sé si cortarme las venas o dejármelas largas', Erick said he was very nervous and anxious to meet his new baby.

As Karla reached the ninth month of her pregnancy, Erick wrote: “Month 9! Anytime now! Start the countdown! Ready for a new family member.”

He wrote today: "Happy and thrilled because of the birth of my second daughter Olivia! Thanks to everybody. Everything went well."

The couple’s first daughter, Penélope, was born in October 2011.
