Gaby Espino is undoubtedly one of the most recognized telenovela stars around the world. After successfully hosting Telemundo’s reality show "Yo Me Llamo," the striking actress returns to the screen in Telemundo’s original production "Santa Diabla.” Born in Venezuela, Gaby has starred in outstanding original productions, including "Más Sabe el Diablo,” "Sin Vergüenza,” "Ojo por Ojo" and many more. She was also co-host in 2012 of the first edition of “Premios Tu Mundo” on Telemundo. Gaby has graced the cover of many international magazines and has been included various times in the "50 Most Beautiful" list by People en Español magazine.

Renowned Mexican actor Aarón Díaz joined Telemundo this year, becoming an exclusive talent at the network after starring in numerous internationally successful telenovelas and participating in the ABC TV series "Pan Am.” "Santa Diabla" marks his first starring role in Telemundo, acting alongside stars Gaby Espino, Ximena Duque and Carlos Ponce. A native of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Aaron jumped to stardom in 2002 with the popular series "Clase 406" that broke records by broadcasting uninterruptedly for a year and seven months. Since then, he has participated in numerous worldwide hit productions like "Teresa", “Barrera de Amor "and "Lola Erase una Vez.”

Fernando Colunga and Blanca Soto are a couple?

Although neither of them has confirmed the romance, it seems that Fernando Colunga and Blanca Soto are indeed a couple. Many fans were surprised after a magazine revealed that Colunga and Soto are maintaining a relationship, and actress Carmen Salinas has confirmed that the two have been an item since starring the telenovela ‘Porque el amor manda’.

The veteran actress said: “It’s old news, they’ve been together since the novela, ever since then they were lovebirds. Why not? She’s single and he’s single. Since then they began a solid relationship”.

Although neither of the actors actually confirmed the relationship, Salinas said: “They were always very affectionate one with another. I didn’t see anything, but I imagined it.”

A popular magazine revealed earlier this week that both actors began their relationship a month and a half ago and that they already live together in Colunga’s lavish mansion in Miami. The source that revealed the sizzling information said: “In deed, one more time Fernando falls in love with one of his costars. In the past, he maintained relationships with Thalía and Aracely Arámbula, with whom he worked in ‘María la del barrio’ and ‘Abrázame muy fuerte’, respectively. And now, how could he not fall in love with Blanca Soto, who is such a charming woman, who is also as tall as he, and is very classy.” The source added: “Their romance has advanced very much, and they are even living together in Miami, a place where they’re usually at when they’re not filming a project in Mexico.”

Will 'La tempestad' end a month earlier? Levy and Navarrete talk about the criticism they received

Because of its low ratings, sources from the production of Televisa’s primetime novela 'La tempestad' revealed that it will probably end airing in November, a month earlier than what was planned. The series was suffering from low ratings since it began airing in May, and it seems that the latest changes that were made to the storyline, which included finally removing William Levy’s long extensions and adding Mariana Seoane to the cast as a mysterious and sexy dancer and singer didn’t help very much to save the sinking ship. Moreover, the telenovela has also been losing some of its advertisers because of the low audience numbers.

Meanwhile, the stars of 'La tempestad' William Levy and Ximena Navarrete have been promoting the show in the U.S, where the novela will begin airing through Univision On July 29, replacing “Amores Verdaderos”.

Levy commented on the makeover that he underwent: “Captain Damián Fabré is a character. I don’t work to look good, so to be honest I don’t care if they make me go bald or whatever, I play a role and I have to adapt to my characters, so I’m sorry of many don’t like it.”

His costar Ximena Navarrete spoke about the criticism that she received: “All the comments and the criticism are appreciated because it means that people are informed about what we do and that’s what we want: for people to watch the telenovela and to be informed about our work. So I appreciate with all my heart any negative or positive comments because they help to learn. Besides, I understand that I’m exposed to all this because of my work. It’s the career that I chose, so I have to learn to live with this because people will always talk, criticize, sometimes will say good things or bad things. Everything is ok. We are focused on our work, it’s what matters most.”

Caio Castro and Maria Casadevall deny that they’re dating

The chemistry and the steamy sex scenes between Brazilian actors Caio Castro and Maria Casadevall in the telenovela 'Amor à vida' are so believable that soon after rumors about an off-screen relationship followed. However, both actors denied that they’re dating. On Saturday, July 27, both actors visited the water park ‘Beach Park’ in Fortaleza and posed for the cameras, showing once again the evident chemistry that exists between them. However, both used the opportunity to deny that there is something more than friendship between them, although some earlier reports claimed to have seen them leaving the same hotel.

Castro said: “if I would be dating Maria, I would have said it, but I’m not. We’re staying in different hotels here in Rio and we don’t even have time for coffee together. Maria is a partner, a friend.” The beau added: “There was only one time when these rumors bothered me, it was when they said that I was involved with a married colleague, and it was a problem for her. But I’m already used to it. They always say that I’m dating my colleagues.”

Meanwhile, Maria also said that there’s nothing going on between them: “We never dated. But I know that these things appear in the media because they sell, and that the couple was so believable that people began imagining things.”

Sherlyn talks about her upcoming wedding and baby plans

Mexican actress Sherlyn is preparing for her October wedding with politician fiancée Gerardo Islas Maldonado, who gifted her with a dazzling engagement ring during their romantic trip to Bali. She commented: “In October we’ll have our civil wedding ceremony, and we don’t know if the religious one will be in March or April, we’re still defining the date.”

The actress, whose latest telenovela was “Amores Verdaderos”, also told about her desire of becoming a mother: “I adore children and don’t want to wait a lot, to be honest. First we’ll celebrate the wedding and hopefully in the nest year I’ll give you the good news. I don’t know, it will be according to God’s desire, but if it was up to me, right now!”

When asked regarding her career, she said that she’s not planning to retire: “I won’t retire nor take a time off unless I am pregnant, and then I’ll take some time to enjoy my pregnancy.”

The most original and unconventional awards show on Spanish-language television presented awards in 27 unique categories within five areas: Music, Movies, Novelas, Sports, and Pop Culture; the biggest winner of the night was Prince Royce.

This vibrant opening number brought down the house and set the ultra-festive mood for the rest of the night, during which the lineup of stellar performances ran the gamut from sensual bachatas to Regional Mexican, salsa, electronic dance tunes, pop ballads and much more. Nicolás Cabré and Eugenia Suárez finally become parents to their baby girl

After months of expectation, Argentine actors Eugenia Suárez (21) and Nicolás Cabré (33) finally became the proud parents of their little baby girl. Although Suárez was originally due to the end of June, the childbirth took more time than expected, and she finally delivered a healthy girl that weighed 3,380 kilos (7.46 pounds) on July 18th. She gave birth to baby Rufina in the Sanatorio de Los Arcos hospital, through a C-section.

One of the last Twits made by Eugenia before giving birth was: “Nesquik.Boyfriend.Apolo.Belly.Sun.Air.I’m happy.” She had previously commented that getting pregnant was the most special thing that happened in her life and that both she and Cabré were eagerly waiting for the arrival of their little bundle of joy.

Rufina Suárez Cabré is the first baby for both of them. According to sources, both mother and daughter are healthy and doing well. Congratulations to this gorgeous couple!

Controversy on the set of ‘Amor à Vida’: Marina Ruy Barbosa will eventually not shave her hair, but her character will be killed

Young Brazilian actress Marina Ruy Barbosa has been recently swept up in a controversy concerning whether she’ll be shaving her hair bald for her role in the prime time telenovela ‘Amor à Vida’. Ruy Barbosa is playing Nicole, a young heiress who discovers that she has cancer and only a few months to live. Although she is reluctant at first, she begins her chemotherapy sessions and starts losing her hair. At this point, according to the original synopsis that was given to Globo, Nicole will decide to shave her hair bald in a dramatic scene.

However, with only a few days before actually filming it, it was reported that Marina was reluctant about making such a drastic move. Her parents objected to her cutting her hair, and an important hair products company was waiting for her to turn 18 in order to offer her a big advertisement deal for hair products (she turned 18 at the end of June). Since the scene was waiting to be filmed, Marina’s hesitation caused great turmoil on the set of the telenovela and also online, with many viewers voicing their divided opinions over the issue: some supported Marina and commented that she shouldn’t cut all her hair for a secondary character, while others said that it’s a lack of professionalism and that she should be up to the challenge, especially since she reportedly accepted to do it before receiving the role.

The issue was debated in an urgent meeting that was held in the offices of Rede Globo in the presence of directors Mauro Mendonça Filho and Wolf Maya and Marina, who was accompanied by her mother. In the end, the final decision was made in favor of Marina by Manoel Martins, director of entertainment of Rede Globo. He was also the one who had to tell the news to the show’s main writer Walcyr Carrasco, who was oriented to tell that he changed his mind because of the strong public opinion against Marina cutting her hair. He was also instructed to continue writing Nicole’s storyline and not to take measures that might harm Ruy Barbosa’s character.

Nevertheless, the story took another turn as Carrasco decided to kill off Nicole in the novela. Although according to the original synopsis, Nicole is eventually cured from her disease, the character will die already in the next few weeks in a dramatic scene. When Nicole gets married to Thales (Ricardo Tozzi), she’ll suddenly pass away in the church. Betrayed by her husband and best friend Leila (Fernanda Machado), Nicole will return to the telenovela as a ghost, ‘the woman in white’, in order to avenge Leila and Thales. By taking such measures Carrasco made very clear how he felt about Marina’s decision. His reaction was even more emphasized in a scene that will air on July 22nd, in which Nicole will desist from cutting her hair and will say: “I’m a coward. I wasn’t brave enough, Thales. I was afraid of being bald and that you won’t like me anymore.”

Jon Ecker accompanies Bárbara Mori to the theatre

Although it has been known that they’re an item for some time now, actors Jon Ecker (29) and Bárbara Mori (34) are in no hurry to confirm the status of their relationship. After finishing filming the series ‘Gossip Girl Acapulco’, Ecker took some time to accompany his girl to the last show of the play ‘Vacas’, starred by Marimar Vega, Paty Garza and Francisco Cardoso. Although they went to the event together, they tried to not stand out in front of the press that was there, but couldn’t really hide that there is something special that is going on between them.

Ecker and Mori have known each other for more than three years. Although they were seen several times together in public, they prefer not to talk about their relationship, but it is very obvious that such an attractive couple constantly attracts the attention of the public and the press. In an interview held in May, when Ecker was asked about Mori, he said: “We have many friends in common, but that’s all. I don’t like all the gossip.”

Although nothing is confirmed, it is more than certain that the two share a special bond and that they look amazing together. Currently Jon interprets Nico de La Vega in the Mexican telenovela ‘Gossip Girl Acapulco’, and Bárbara is preparing a new series for Fox and also getting ready for her next movie, which will tell the story of Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" and where she’ll portray the legendary Elizabeth Taylor.

Mike Amigorena and Monica Antonopulos enjoy a romantic afternoon in Palermo

Although neither of them has officially confirmed their relationship, actors Mike Amigorena (41) and Monica Antonopulos (31) recently showed their love in public during a romantic date.  On Sunday at noon both of the “Los Vecinos en Guerra” co-stars walked around the streets of Palermo and enjoyed a romantic lunch at a restaurant on Humboldt Street. After buying some ice cream the couple spent the afternoon in the Monica’s apartment.

Antonopulos broke up with Coraje Avalos (40) two months ago after seven years of relationship and after giving birth to her firstborn Camilo on April 20, 2012, and she had confessed that she wanted to be alone.  Meanwhile, Amigorena was rarely seen dating after he finished the relationship with actress Carla Peterson.

Right after the filming for “Los Vecinos en Guerra” began, rumors about a possible romance between the two started to spread. In a recent interview she said: “Mike is a hottie, he’s a genius, he makes me laugh and I love him a lot. We didn’t know each other before. We have a good vibe going on, but we don’t have labels. A person doesn’t choose with whom to fall in love, but if it would happen it would be a great prize.” Judging by the images, it seems that the couple is definitely enjoying this “great prize”.

Lucero enjoys her new phase as a composer

After finishing filming for last year’s "Por Ella Soy Eva", Lucero announced that she’ll temporarily stop acting in order to dedicate herself fully to her music career, and it seems that all is going according to her plans.

On Wednesday, the Mexican actress and singer shared with her fans via her twitter account that she participated in the composition of her new single "No pudiste amar así" (You couldn’t love this way): “Yes! I wrote my new song #NoPudisteAmarAsí with my super team! The authors are César Lemos, Karla Aponte, Ernesto Fernández and me!”. In addition, she also shared with her followers some of the song’s lyrics.

However, it wasn’t the first song written by Lucero. She co-wrote and co-produced the song "No me dejes ir" (Don’t let me go), which was one of the songs that were played on her telenovela "Por ella Soy Eva".

Although it is still unknown when Lucero, who completed 33 years of career in February, will release her full album, it is almost certain that it will be a big success, like everything that this talented woman does.

Aracely Arámbula bids farewell to ‘La Patrona'

The final episode of the telenovela ‘La Patrona’, starring Aracely Arámbula and Jorge Luis Pila, aired this week of Telemundo. After 127 episodes, Gabriela Suarez (Arámbula), who returned to San Pedro del Oro as the rich and powerful Verónica Dantés, finally managed to take revenge on her mortal enemies, headed by Antonia Guerra (Cristian Bach), and marry the man of her life Alejandro (Pila).

Through twits on her Twitter account, ‘La Chule' expressed her excitement and gratitude: “Such a special day, today is the end of our dear ‘Patrona’. Thanks to everybody for making it a success!!!! I adore you with all my ❤.”

She later added: “So many beautiful messages move me to tears. Thank you. A very loved and endearing story that I’ll hold in my heart forever ✨❤”

Devoted to her fans, she also wrote:#ArafamiliaPatronal, thanks for always being her, accompanying me every day and sharing with me this story. Thank you for all your love, it’s mutual ✨🙏”

The telenovela was one of the most successful productions for Telemundo, and in addition to reaching outstanding ratings in the U.S., it was also sold to many other countries.
